NORDISCH BY NATURE
The restaurant near the State Opera works primarily with ingredients from regional suppliers; chef Paulo de Sousa uses them to conjure up classics of northern German cuisine. In this way, he not only brings our guests from all over the world, but also locals closer to the city in culinary terms. It never gets monotonous, after all, in Hamburg vegetables from the Vier- und Marschlanden, fruit from the Altes Land, grain from Holstein and Mecklenburg as well as fresh fish and meat from the Deichland come together at the stove. Let that melt in your mouth!

The Kleinhuis’ wine cellar is just the right retreat to enjoy selected antipasti and fine wines in an atmospheric setting.
In addition to a large selection of open wines, the menu also includes discoveries by our sommelier and rarities.
By the way, you can purchase your favorite wine at standard prices for home or for private enjoyment in your room.

The Kleinhuis’ Bistro combines wine enjoyment and bistro cuisine in the best possible way; the bistro has long been an insider tip among wine lovers. In addition to the large selection of wines by the glass, we offer our guests a daily changing lunch menu from Monday to Friday between 11.30 a.m. and 3 p.m. in a prime location in Hamburg city center. In addition to the classic, the legendary currywurst, we serve different dishes of the day every week and a delicious creation from the “green box”.
Drinks by the fire
Whether it’s a coffee while reading the newspaper, an aperitif before dinner or a nightcap in good company – the sociable Kleinhuis’ bar in the lobby is the right place for it. In winter, it gets really cozy here: a warming fire blazes in the open fireplace, which is best enjoyed with a glass of whisky. Fans of the Irish spirit are guaranteed to go into raptures at the huge selection!
Tea time in Hanseatic style
Experience our Hanseatic tea time in a cozy atmosphere by the open fire in our lobby. Enjoy a pot of tea accompanied by sweet and savory treats. What makes it special? Instead of scones, we serve French rolls – typically Hamburg.
