Where can I park?
To check in, you can stop in the loading zone in front of the hotel. Our reception team will then give you tips on parking in the surrounding area.
When can I check in?
We guarantee check-in from 3 pm.
Until when can I check out?
Does the Baseler Hof offer luggage storage?
You can of course store your luggage at the hotel. So you can enjoy Hamburg carefree – even before check-in or after check-out. Please get in touch with the reception team.
I'm coming by bike, can I leave it at the hotel?
Yes, you can. We have a bicycle cellar. Contact reception and we will show you the way to the cellar.
What are the breakfast times?
Breakfast is served at the Hotel Baseler Hof from Monday to Friday from 6:30 am to 10:00 am. At weekends and on public holidays from 7:00 am to 11:00 am.
How much does breakfast cost at Baseler Hof?
Breakfast is charged at 23.00 euros per person. The breakfast price for children up to and including 12 years is 11.50 euros. Children under the age of 6 have breakfast free of charge. Breakfast is not automatically included in the room rate. You can book it in advance or let us know on site if you would like to have breakfast with us.
How long is reception open at Baseler Hof?
Is there room service at the hotel Baseler Hof?
We charge €3.50 as a service fee for breakfast in your room. Please fill out the order card and hang it on your room door by 2 o’clock for room service. During restaurant hours you can order something from the kitchen to your room.
Does the Hotel Baseler Hof have a wellness area?
A sauna area with a Finnish sauna and an infrared cabin is available to our guests in the basement. The relaxation area provides relaxation.
Does Baseler Hof have a charging station for my electric car?
Can I easily reach the hotel Baseler Hof by public transport?
Our hotel is very centrally located in Hamburg. There are various public transportation stations nearby: U Stephansplatz, U Gänsemarkt, Dammtor station and bus stops. Hamburg Central Station is about 1.2 kilometers away from the Baseler Hof. You can reach us by U-Bahn, S-Bahn, or bus.
Can I walk into the city from the Hotel Baseler Hof?
The Baseler Hof is located right in the heart of the city. This makes the hotel the ideal starting point for exploring the city. The Binnenalster is right next to the hotel. The Elbphilharmonie is about a 30-minute walk away, and you can reach Rathausmarkt in less than a quarter of an hour.
Can I buy tickets for public transport at Baseler Hof?
You will receive a free 3-day public transport ticket on arrival. This will keep you mobile in Hamburg city center during your stay.
Are pets allowed in the hotel?
Pets are not permitted at the Hotel Baseler Hof.
Is a tourist tax payable for my overnight stay?
The culture and tourism tax is not yet included in our room rates. Since 2023, this has been charged in Hamburg for all overnight stays (private or business) and is calculated according to local rates.
Can I purchase a voucher at Baseler Hof?
You can purchase gift certificates through our Kleinhuis Gift Certificate Shop. You will then receive the gift certificates via email to print out yourself.
Is there WLAN in the hotel Baseler Hof?
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building.
Is the hotel Baseler Hof barrier-free?
We have a stair lift at the Esplanade entrance and elevators in the hotel. Our sanitary facilities are only partially barrier-free. Please contact us if you require more detailed information.
Does Baseler Hof have suitable rooms for allergy sufferers?
We have allergy-friendly rooms without carpeting and can also provide allergy-friendly bedding if required.
Is it possible to bring dogs?
Unfortunately, you cannot take your faithful friend with you to the Kleinhuis Hotel Baseler Hof.
Is there WLAN in the rooms?
Free Wi-Fi is available in our rooms and throughout the building.
Are there baby cribs?
We have baby cribs in the hotel. If you need a baby crib, please let us know before your arrival.
Do all rooms have a safe?
Yes, there is a safe in all rooms.
Are there cosmetics in the room?
For sustainability reasons, no cosmetics are available in the rooms. If required, please contact reception. We will also be happy to give you tips on where to find the nearest drugstore or pharmacy, for example.
Do all rooms at Baseler Hof have a minibar?
Some rooms no longer have a minibar. However, you can find chilled beverages around the clock at our Fehlandt Bar, a 24-hour self-service bar. Please contact our team at the front desk if, for example, you need to refrigerate medication.
Is there air conditioning in the rooms?
There is no air conditioning in the rooms. We can provide you with fans if required. Please contact us at reception.
Are there rooms at the Baseler Hof that are suitable for wheelchair users?
Our hotel is not barrier-free and therefore only partially accessible for guests with disabilities. Contact us by phone and we will try to find a suitable room for your needs.
Are there any packages that I can book at the hotel Baseler Hof?
Yes, we’ve put together some (seasonal) packages for you. You can check availability on the booking calendar.
Are there smoking rooms?
The Baseler Hof only has non-smoking rooms. On request, you can get a room with a balcony, subject to availability. Smokers will also find a guest balcony on the 6th floor.
I have forgotten something in my room - what is the best way to contact the hotel?
If you have forgotten something with us, please fill in our “Lost & Found” form. You will then receive a notification by e-mail that we have received your request and will process it accordingly.
Does Baseler Hof have rooms with a bathtub?
Depending on the room category, the hotel rooms are equipped with bathtubs or showers.
I would like to reserve several rooms for a group, is this possible at Baseler Hof?
How many meeting rooms are there?
The Baseler Hof has ten conference and event rooms. Three of these rooms are located in the main building and seven in the neighboring Palais Esplanade.
How many people can I host an event with at Baseler Hof?
Our largest room offers space for 200 people. The capacity of the rooms varies depending on the desired seating arrangement. Contact our event office and let us make you an individual offer.
Can I also celebrate my wedding at Baseler Hof?
Is there a restaurant at the Hotel Baseler Hof?
Yes, the Hotel Baseler Hof has a restaurant and a wine cellar.
When is the Kleinhuis' Restaurant open?
Kleinhuis’ Restaurant is usually open Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Information about special opening hours (e.g., on holidays) is available on-site or by phone.
Sunday and Monday are days off.
Can I reserve a table at Kleinhuis' Restaurant?
For example, you can reserve a table online for your dinner at Kleinhuis’ Restaurant.
When is the wine cellar at Baseler Hof open?
The Kleinhuis Wine Cellar is open Friday through Monday from 5:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.
When is the roof terrace open?
The Kleinhuis’ roof terrace is currently closed.
How long is the bar at Baseler Hof open?
The bar in our lobby is open on Mondays from 09:30 to 17:30 and Tuesdays to Saturdays from 09:30 to 01:00. Sunday is a day off.
Can I have lunch at Baseler Hof?
Of course! In our bistro in the cozy wine cellar we offer you changing daily specials from Monday to Friday (except on public holidays). You are welcome to drop by between 11:30 and 15:00.
Is there a pool at the hotel Baseler Hof?
No, there is no pool at the Baseler Hof Hotel.
When is the sauna open?
The sauna is available to our guests daily from 15:00 to 22:00.
What are the opening hours of the fitness area?
The fitness area is open daily from 6:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Is there an extra charge for using the sauna?
