Declaration of accessibility

This declaration on digital accessibility applies to the website of Kleinhuis Hotel Baseler Hof published at https://baselerhof.de.

Status of compliance with the requirements
The above-mentioned website is not fully but partially compliant with the technical requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at conformance level AA. Due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions, the website is partially compliant with the Accessibility Reinforcement Act (BFSG):

Non-accessible content
Due to the colors defined in our corporate design, the contrast between text and background color on (almost) all pages is lower than required by the WCAG requirements at conformance level AA. Increasing the contrast would interfere with the brand color.

We provide website visitors with the Eye-Able assistance tool to enable accessible use. This enables the individual presentation of our website, adapted to personal needs. The functions include changing the text contrast, enlarging texts or reading the website aloud.

On individual pages, form fields do not have an accessible name. This would be necessary so that screen readers can reproduce the purpose. Wherever it was previously possible, a name was assigned to the form fields. We are working on a solution so that these passages of content can be better displayed in future.

On individual pages, there is an incorrect <dl> element structure or elements are not surrounded by <dl>. Definition lists can therefore not be recognized correctly by assistance tools. These elements have been adapted where possible. Final adjustments are necessary in the provision of a widget from a rating platform; the respective provider is responsible for this.

We will endeavor to create accessible PDF documents in the future. For technical reasons, this is not yet fully possible.

Linked, older videos do not have subtitles. We will ensure that subtitles are provided for videos that we create and publish in the future.

Online bookings are made using the booking mask of the provider HotelNetSolutions. We are therefore reliant on the technology of a third-party provider.

We use and link the table reservation via Opentable. We are therefore also dependent on the technology of a third-party provider in this area.

Further links to external applications or websites outside the pages of baselerhof.de may lead to content that is not barrier-free.

We use the chatbot from DialogShift GmbH. This has elements that are currently not barrier-free. At this point, we are dependent on the technology of the aforementioned third-party provider.

The content under “Easy language” is checked separately and optimized if necessary.
